Jermaine graduated from Detroit Finney High school in 1995 and received a full scholarship to the University of Detroit Mercy. After 4 stellar years of collegiate basketball, Jermaine pursued professional ranks. In the summer of 1999, Jermaine put his focus on playing for his hometown NBA team, the Detroit Pistons. He outworked his competition to earn a spot with the Detroit Pistons for the 1999-2000 basketball season.

After the 2000 NBA season, Jermaine diversified his resume by signing with Italian A-1 team Verona. After a successful season in Italy, Jermaine was determined to return to the NBA. He started the 2001-2002 season in the Continental Basketball Association. After playing very well for the first two months of the season, Jermaine was called up to the NBA by the Toronto Raptors, where he finished the NBA season participating in 24 games. For the 2002-2003 season he returned to the Toronto Raptors and in mid season moved on to the Atlanta Hawks.

In 2003-2004 Jermaine ventured to Greece A-1 to play for Aris. In mid season he moved on to Italy to help Benetton Treviso win the Italian National Cup, a very prestigious award in Italy. Jermaine signed a temporary contract for the 2004-2005 season in Spain (ACB) for Pamesa Valencia. Once his contract was complete, The New York Knicks requested that Jermaine join their team. He finished the 2004-2005 season with the New York Knicks participating in 21 games.

Jermaine spent the first part of the 2005-2006 season with the Chicago Bulls before moving on to finish the season and participate in the playoffs with the Milwaukee Bucks. Jermaine started the 2006-2007 NBA season with the Milwaukee Bucks before moving on to Ukraine to play for two of the most storied teams in Europe, Azovmash Mariupol and B.C. Kyiv. In Ukraine, Jermaine won the regular season championship with Azovmash. He continued to showcase his talent by returning to Spain (ACB) playing for Grupo Begar Leon for the 2007-2008 season and back to Italy (A1) with Snaidero Udine for the 2008-2009 season.

Jermaine has had success throughout his entire basketball career. He is known as a winner and a team player. His heart and determination cannot be measured. His knowledge of the game, personal integrity, and desire to positively impact youth gurantee his success as a basketball coach.
